Arvada West is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Denver South Ravens at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Arvada West's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Arvada West had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 70-point drubbing they dealt Overland last Friday. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trailblazers 70-0. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wildcats had established a 63-point advantage.

Meanwhile, it was a classic North v. South duel when Denver South faced off against Northfield on Friday. The Ravens took a 10-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nighthawks. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Ravens couldn't push the score so high this time.
Even if they lost, Denver South's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Simon Leon, Errol Rovinsky, and Josiah Thomas-Flores, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Arvada West pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Denver South, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Everything came up roses for Arvada West against Denver South in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-6 victory. In that contest, the Wildcats amassed a halftime lead of 34-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
