David Emanuel Academy is still undefeated  this season after their  matchup against Edmund Burke Academy  on Tuesday, but Edmund Burke Academy came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-1  victory over the Spartans. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Eagles have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
 Rayleigh Faircloth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Aubrey Scott was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times she's  played.  Kaley Flowers also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
David Emanuel Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Edmund Burke Academy, they now  have a losing record of 4-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. David Emanuel Academy will face off against Citizens Christian Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Edmund Burke Academy, they will venture away from home to  challenge Bulloch Academy  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
