Johnathan Gray became the all-time career touchdown king in Texas on Friday, even though his Aledo (Texas) squad suffered a lopsided 62-35 loss to Lake Travis (Austin, Texas).
A crowd of more than 9,000 watched Gray streak for four touchdowns – including dazzling runs of 82 and 68 yards – and he finished with 203 yards on 19 carries.
The University of Texas recruit now has 148 touchdowns, eclipsing by two the previous record of 146 by Traylon Shead of Cayuga from 2006-2009.
Gray also
holds the single-season record for touchdowns, set last year.
