The Cary Christian Knights will challenge the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cary Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 150 points over their last three matchups.
Cary Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: St. David's, who was ranked tenth at the time (Cary Christian was ranked second). The Knights took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-19 victory over the Warriors. The Knights pushed the score to 54-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors cut but never quite recovered from.

Reed Harvey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 290 yards and four TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 68 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (170.1). Cennoth Kalisiak was Harvey's top target, picking up 156 receiving yards and three scores.
Cary Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Michael Allen, Marcus Reinalda, and Andrew Smyrski picked up one apiece. Smyrski has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Meanwhile, Wake Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 34-30 to Pungo Christian Academy. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cary Christian will have to contain Brady Stiltner as he made an impact in Wake Christian Academy's last game. He threw for 133 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 57 yards.
Even if they lost, Wake Christian Academy's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Daniel Setikas and Anderson Seay, who each picked up two sacks apiece. Setikas was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks, forcing one fumble, and making nine total tackles (2.5 for loss).
Cary Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Wake Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Everything came up roses for Cary Christian against Wake Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in September, as the squad secured a 52-6 victory. In that game, the Knights amassed a halftime lead of 38-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
