University Prep put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Central Valley Falcons. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.
Jacob Lindell tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaos Martin, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Waylon Stripling, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
University Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Valley only posted an OBP of .167.
