Gladewater waltzed into their game  on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Liberty-Eylau Leopards 46-20. With the Bears ahead  22-0 at the half, the  matchup was all but over already.
Gladewater's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Achilles Hess, who rushed for 22 yards and a pair of  TDs, and also threw for 136 yards and one  touchdown on only 12 passes.  Carsin Cooper also helped out as he racked up 129 rushing yards.

 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gladewater was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 270  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 167  rushing yards in 12 consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.

  Arian Taylor and  Ty Hawkins certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss.  Taylor rushed for 127 yards and two  scores while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, while  Hawkins picked up 101 receiving yards and one  touchdown. Taylor's rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 115  rushing yards.
Gladewater's record is now 6-1. As for Liberty-Eylau, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season.
