With a playoff game on the line, the Carpinteria Warriors rose to the challenge on Thursday. They took down the Eagles 42-28. The win made it back-to-back wins for Carpinteria.
Leading Carpinteria to victory were Jamaica Cook and Armarisse Camargo. Cook dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Camargo dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Camargo hasn't dropped below two steals for 19 straight games. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Cooney, who scored five points along with five steals.
Carpinteria has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for San Gabriel Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10.
Carpinteria will square off against Grand Terrace at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. San Gabriel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
