Washington is 0-3 against Green since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Washington Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Green Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Washington is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Washington posted their biggest win since December 8, 2023 on Saturday. They blew past Max S. Hayes 79-39 at home. Washington has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 40 points or more this season.
Washington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Knight, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Knight is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braylon Gamble, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Green unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brunswick. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Green has scored all season.
Washington's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Green, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Washington lost to Green on the road by a decisive 56-39 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Washington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
