Softball Recap: River Ridge's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

River Ridge had lost five straight, but after bumping their record up to 6-10 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets by a score of 12-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-1 back in August.

As for Sprayberry, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly eight runs.

For Sprayberry's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Graci Pederson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another was Sage Dorsey, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Looking ahead, River Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Denmark at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sprayberry, they will host Campbell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
