The Plumas Charter Warriors will face off against the Biggs Wolverines at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Plumas Charter came out on top against Fall River on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Warriors blew past the Bulldogs 12-4. 12 seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
The team relied heavily on Bodie Kingdon, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Logan Mille, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Plumas Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Biggs hadn't beaten Live Oak on the road since March 6, 2020 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Wolverines narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lions 2-1. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Wolverines have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Dennis Dewhurst and Jaiden Bandy made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Dewhurst didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Meanwhile, Bandy tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Dewhurst has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Dewhurst went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI, while Bandy went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Plumas Charter and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Biggs, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Plumas Charter came out on top in a nail-biter against Biggs in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
