The matchup between Duarte and Sierra Vista on Wednesday hardly resembled the 25-20 effort from their previous meeting. Duarte had just enough and edged Sierra Vista out 56-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Duarte has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Nogales scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Workman 64-25 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Nogales has posted since November 21, 2023.
The win (which was Duarte's third in a row) raised their record to 8-7. As for Nogales, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.
Duarte came up short against Nogales in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 52-43. Can Duarte avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
