The City School Lions will be playing at home against Villa Victoria Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Last Friday, The City School lost to Sankofa Freedom Academy at home by a decisive 28-14 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points The City School has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Villa Victoria Academy had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 39-30 win over Community Academy of Philadelphia on Friday. Villa Victoria Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Sophia Vitanov, who scored 16 points along with three blocks. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Rachel Corban, who scored nine points.
The City School now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Villa Victoria Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-5.
