The Birmingham Patriots waltzed into their game on Friday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They strolled past Granada Hills Charter with points to spare, taking the game 64-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Birmingham also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Birmingham's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Natalie E. Lopez led the charge by scoring 12 points along with seven assists and three steals. E. Lopez has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Devyn Berry, who scored 18 points.
Birmingham's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Granada Hills Charter, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-10.
Birmingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Granada Hills Charter also has no future games currently scheduled.
