While Grand Junction's win against Rifle wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Bears 3-2 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won four in a row.

Kloe Donahue made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season.

Donahue wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Avery Long, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base was Long's first of the season.

Grand Junction now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Rifle, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Grand Junction didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Gunnison on the 2nd. As for Rifle, they have also already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against Montrose on the 30th.
