In what's become a running theme this season, the Garnet Valley Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They blew past Springfield 52-30. Winning may never get old, but Garnet Valley sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Leading Garnet Valley to victory were Kylie Mulholland and Emily Olsen. Mulholland scored 14 points along with three steals, while Olsen scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Olsen scored 15 or more points. Addison Adamski was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Garnet Valley's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Springfield, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Garnet Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mt. St. Joseph Academy at 10:30 a.m. on January 21st. Mt. St. Joseph Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Garnet Valley is ranked 23rd). As for Springfield, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Upper Darby at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Upper Darby is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
