The Citrus Hill Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty Bison at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Citrus Hill ended up a good deal behind Perris and lost 50-34.
Meanwhile, Liberty beat West Valley 39-30 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Liberty.
Liberty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but AJ Enguillado led the charge by scoring ten points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Enguillado has scored at least 25% of Liberty's points. Kelli Harris-Wellman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Citrus Hill's loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.9 points per game. As for Liberty, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Citrus Hill was dealt a bruising 57-14 loss at the hands of Liberty in their previous meeting back in January. Can Citrus Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
