Central will take on Auburn in each of the teams' third playoff matchup on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Central skips in on 11 wins and Auburn on three.
Central earned some more postseason success in their game last Friday. They had enough points to win and then some against Prattville, taking their contest 24-6. The Central offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the matchup anyway.
Meanwhile, Auburn kept a clean sheet against McGill-Toolen. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 26 to nothing margin over McGill-Toolen.
Everything went the Red Devils' way against the Tigers the last time the two teams met in October as they made off with a 34-7 win. Whatever the outcome in this rematch, the contest is bound to be a fierce one since these are two of the top teams in the state.
