The Woodgrove Wolverines put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Heritage 65-44. Given Woodgrove's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Heritage is ranked 377th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dane Marsh continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. He also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Colin Fuller, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Woodgrove's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Heritage, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Woodgrove will be home for the holidays to greet Loudoun Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Loudoun Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. Heritage won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Briar Woods at 7:15 p.m. on December 19th.
