Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Classical). They put the hurt on Paul Cuffee with a sharp 18-6 win on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Purple with their most commanding win of the season.
Allen Espinal was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Classical: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 0-10 otherwise. Espinal was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
