The King City Wildkats are on the road again on Monday and plays the Savannah Savages at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, King City was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-48 to Stewartsville.
Meanwhile, Savannah's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. Their rough 57-37 loss to Chillicothe might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Savannah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while Chillicothe is ranked 76th).
King City has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 16 of their last 17 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. As for Savannah, they dropped their record down to 8-16 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
