The Bradford Owls kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 41-33 to Port Allegany. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bradford in their matchups with Port Allegany: they've now lost six in a row.
Port Allegany's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ella Moses led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Moses has scored at least 25% of Port Allegany's points. Kayleigha Dowell was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 4 steals.
Bradford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Port Allegany, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
