Make it 12 blowout wins for the Pioneer Patriots this season. They blew past Mira Loma 70-25 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Pioneer as they're now sitting on 17 straight.
Leading Pioneer to victory were Naomi Navarro and Olivia Gill. Navarro went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 4 assists, while Gill dropped a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Navarro has scored all season. Marissa Christian was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Mira Loma had strong showings from Olivia Ulep, who scored 14 points, and Desiree Synhorst, who scored two points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Synhorst is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.
Pioneer pushed their record up to 20-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Mira Loma, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
Pioneer will head out on the road to take on Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 798th, while Pioneer is ranked 220th). As for Mira Loma, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m.
