If Wyalusing Valley hoped to take revenge for the 66-35 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Williamson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenna Thomas, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Thomas has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Rae Jones, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Wyalusing Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Williamson, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wyalusing Valley will take on Troy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Williamson, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Cowanesque Valley at 6:00 p.m. Cowanesque Valley is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
