With a playoff game on the line, Diego Rivera rose to the challenge on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 34-16 win over the Cardinals. The victory was some much needed relief for Diego Rivera as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Diego Rivera got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Desiree Aguillon out in front who scored 20 points along with six steals. Aguillon hasn't dropped below three steals for eight straight games. Brianna Collins was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine steals.
Meanwhile, Gardena put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They really took it to Sun Valley Magnet for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-8 win at home. With Gardena ahead 31-5 at the half, the game was all but over already.
