The Big Sandy Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 68-50 to Joaquin. Big Sandy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Joaquin apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.
Big Sandy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ka'myrie Fountain, who scored 12 points along with five assists. Kayden Smith was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Big Sandy has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Joaquin, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
Big Sandy and Harmony will face off at 9:00 a.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Harmony is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Joaquin is on the road again on Saturday and play against Grapeland at 10:20 a.m. on December 16th.
