Even though the Denton Broncos have not done well against the Richland Royals recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Denton put the hurt on Richland with a sharp 63-38 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Denton has posted yet this season.
Chase Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Gunter, who scored 12 points.
Denton's victory bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Richland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
Denton will be playing at home against Colleyville Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colleyville Heritage presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Denton in Texas (Colleyville Heritage is ranked 72nd, while Denton is ranked 412th). As for Richland, they will head out on the road to take on Argyle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Argyle will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
