The West Aurora Blackhawks will take on the Westmont Sentinels at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Aurora has four straight wins, Westmont has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, West Aurora made easy work of Aurora Central Catholic and carried off a 16-6 victory. Fans of the Blackhawks have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Meanwhile, Westmont lost 10-1 to Von Steuben on Tuesday.
Ricky Yenkin made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Yenkin is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Westmont's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Aurora hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .500. It's a different story for Westmont, though, as they've only averaged .250. Will they be able to contain West Aurora's hitters?
West Aurora was able to grind out a solid victory over Westmont when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 8-3. Will the Blackhawks repeat their success, or do the Sentinels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
