Baseball Recap: Southeast Whitfield County Takes a Loss

Southeast Whitfield County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Woodland Wildcats, falling 16-6. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-1 defeat on Friday.

Southeast Whitfield County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Williams, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Williams has become a key player for Southeast Whitfield County: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-10 otherwise. Chandler Proman was another, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Southeast Whitfield County's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Woodland, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
