Paradise is 0-6 against Pierce since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Paradise Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Pierce Bears at 7:00 p.m. Paradise is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
Paradise lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 57-33 defeat at the hands of Willows. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Paradise has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Meanwhile, Pierce had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Live Oak with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 44-26. The victory was just what Pierce needed coming off of a 51-24 defeat in their prior match.
Pierce's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Letzy Ambriz, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ambriz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Leah Charter, who scored ten points.
Paradise has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Pierce, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
Paradise came up short against Pierce when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 40-34. Can Paradise avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
