Locust Grove had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Stockbridge Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-5 last Monday.

Locust Grove's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Stockbridge, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Looking ahead, Locust Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Putnam County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Wildcats' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the War Eagles have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Stockbridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
