The Tulelake Honkers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Trinity Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Tulelake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Tulelake sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 29-26 victory over Lost River. The victory was just what Tulelake needed coming off of a 72-41 loss in their prior contest.
Tulelake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla Frey, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Josefina Mojica, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals.
Trinity has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 43-21 margin over Los Molinos.
The losses dropped Tulelake to 3-2 and Lost River to 0-2.
Tulelake was taken down by Trinity 51-18 in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. Can Tulelake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
