Frontier is 2-8 against the Patriots since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Frontier Titans will head out on the road to square off against the Liberty Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Frontier has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Frontier put the finishing touches on their 14th blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 68-14 victory over Garces Memorial. Given Frontier's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Rams are ranked 1116th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alexis Tinnin was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below 16 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Leverette, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Liberty waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against Centennial by a score of 49-41.
Frontier's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Frontier might still be hurting after the 54-31 defeat they got from the Patriots in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Liberty's Faith Curry, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Now that Frontier knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
