The Mammoth Huskies had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding  50-9 victory over Trona on the road. The  squad ran away with 38  points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the  win.
 Mammoth's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Nicole Smyth, who  scored 17 points along with 9  steals.  Audrey Borunda was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points along with 7  rebounds and 3  steals.
 Mammoth's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Trona, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mammoth will  take on Lone Pine at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Trona, they will head out on the road to face off against Mammoth at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
