It's playoff time, and Lampasas had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Giddings Buffaloes get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Friday. The Badgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Lampasas got a great performance from Jonas Andersen as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Andersen has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Peyton Sisson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of JT Posten, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Lampasas is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 22 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Giddings, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11-2.

Looking ahead, Lampasas will square off against Lumberton on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Badgers 3, the Raiders 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Giddings does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
