We've got a battle between Lions coming up.
Things were looking good for Loganville Christian Academy after they put the first points on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dominion Christian. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Loganville Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J.R. Snell, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Westminster Christian Academy won against John Hancock Academy on Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Westminster Christian Academy beat Young Americans Christian by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. With that victory, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Westminster Christian Academy also got a great performance from Cole Grantham as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on George Chisholm, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. David Tingle was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Westminster Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Young Americans Christian only posted an OBP of .182.
The win made it two in a row for Westminster Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Loganville Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Loganville Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Westminster Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Loganville Christian Academy skirted past Westminster Christian Academy 3-2 in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. Will Loganville Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Westminster Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
