Having just played yesterday, the Carrollton Cavaliers will get right back to it and host the Mt. Morris Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Carrollton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
On Tuesday, Carrollton strolled past St. Louis with points to spare, taking the game 55-38. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Carrollton has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mt. Morris' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 78-61 bruising from Durand. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Carrollton's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Mt. Morris, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Carrollton beat Mt. Morris 72-63 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Does Carrollton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mt. Morris turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
