After soaring to 35 points the game before, The Lewiston-Altura Cardinals were a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They took a 21-6 bruising from Caledonia. While losing is never fun, Lewiston-Altura can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Caledonia is ranked 19th).
When it comes to explaining why Lewiston-Altura lost, one person who can't be blamed is William Kreidermacher. Despite the final result, he rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
Lewiston-Altura's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Caledonia, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Lewiston-Altura does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Caledonia will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Dover-Eyota. Dover-Eyota will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
