Valley Christian Academy is a perfect 5-0 against San Luis Obispo Classical Academy since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. Valley Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
While Valley Christian Academy's win against Coastal Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions won by a run and slipped past the Conquerors 7-6.

Chase Barretto and Samuel Kramer were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Barretto pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Meanwhile, Kramer struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Barretto has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Barretto went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Kramer got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Those four hits gave Barretto a new career-high.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Torin Ellis, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another was Tomas Kramer, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Valley Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, San Luis Obispo Classical Academy won against Laton on Wednesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Grizzlies were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over Shandon. With that victory, the Grizzlies brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
San Luis Obispo Classical Academy got a massive performance out of Luke Keefe, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Keefe is becoming a predictor of the Grizzlies' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-8-1 when he doesn't). Rhett Soto was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Valley Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9-1.
Both Valley Christian Academy and San Luis Obispo Classical Academy just can't seem to miss. The Lions have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like San Luis Obispo Classical Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
