Ethan Mangrum Delivers Electric Effort Vs Thornton
Starting off the list is Sand Creek's Ethan Mangrum, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Mangrum rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 147 rushing yards.
The win was the fourth in a row for Sand Creek, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Mangrum and Sand Creek will challenge Cheyenne Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Grand Junction Gets a Boost from Applegate in 48-13 Victory
Grand Junction found a leader in Will Applegate as the team took down Gateway on Friday. Applegate was unstoppable, throwing for 154 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Grand Junction's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Applegate and Grand Junction will challenge Thornton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Elijah Brotherns Delivers Best Effort of Season
Elijah Brotherns produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sand Creek to the win on Friday. Brotherns picked up 119 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 57 yards.
This season, Brotherns has caught 7 touchdowns while averaging 44.2 receiving yards per game.

Tysen Burton Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sadly, Tysen Burton posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Centaurus over Cheyenne Mountain on Friday. Burton picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 88 yards.
Centaurus is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. Burton and Centaurus will be playing in front of their home fans against Gateway at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

A Season-Best Effort from Elijah ?Pharaoh? Clanton Leads Sand Creek over Thornton
Elijah ?Pharaoh? Clanton produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sand Creek to the win on Friday. Clanton made five total tackles and defended six passes in addition to snagging two interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
This season, Clanton has averaged 2.4 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one interception. This year he is already up to two.
