The Quartz Hill Royals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 57-44 to Knight, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Quartz Hill has not had much luck with Knight recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Quartz Hill's loss came despite strong showings from Ashantee Palmer and Mandy Frozina. Palmer dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Frozina scored 11 points along with seven assists and five steals. The contest was Palmer's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alonna Rollins, who scored four points.
Quartz Hill has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Knight, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quartz Hill will be home for the holidays to greet Littlerock at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Littlerock comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Knight will be home for the holidays to greet Eastside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastside is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.7 points per game.
