The DCP Alum Rock Lobos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 36-10 margin over Latino College Preparatory Academy. That looming 36-10 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for DCP Alum Rock yet this season.
DCP Alum Rock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Estrella Sanchez, who scored nine points along with eight steals and six assists. Sanchez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Munguia, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
The victory got DCP Alum Rock back to even at 4-4. As for Latino College Preparatory Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DCP Alum Rock will be home for the holidays to greet Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Latino College Preparatory Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on ACE Charter at 7:15 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
