Texas was the only state still playing over the weekend and thus the Southwest was the only region to see any significant changes in the Final MaxPreps Regional Football Rankings of the 2012 season.
Allen stayed on top of the Southwest rankings with its win over Cedar Hill and Katy moved from No. 7 to No. 3. Navasota also climbed in the rankings, jumping in at No. 5 this week.
The rankings are done using the MaxPreps Freeman Computer Ratings. Be sure to check out all of our

Notes: Katy's win moved it up to No. 3 while Navasota's title allowed it to enter the ratings. Allen maintained its hold on No. 1 with the victory over Lamar (Houston).
Note: Correction was made to indicate Allen defeated Lamar (Houston), not Cedar Hill. The incorrect listing of opponents did not have a bearing on the final regional rankings.
