After flying high against the Sayre Redskins last Tuesday, the Northeast Bradford Panthers came back down to earth. Northeast Bradford fell just short of Neumann Regional Academy by a score of 64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neumann Regional Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than GiGi Parlante, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Parlante has scored at least 25% of Neumann Regional Academy's points. Lizzie weller was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Northeast Bradford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Neumann Regional Academy, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.
Northeast Bradford will take on North Penn-Mansfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Penn-Mansfield's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Northeast Bradford's offense will have their work cut out for Northeast Bradford. As for Neumann Regional Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Bucktail at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
