The Panther Creek Panthers entered their tilt with the Celina Bobcats with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Panther Creek managed a 31-27 victory over Celina on Thursday. For Panther Creek, this counts as revenge for the 53-0 loss Celina walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Braxton Roberts continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 324 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Ord, who picked up 45 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Panther Creek's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 7-2 Wilmer-Hutchins and 5-4 Pinkston (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 69.7% over those games). As for Celina, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-1.
Panther Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Celina will face off against Paris at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
