Palmyra has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Mifflin County Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmyra will be strutting in after a victory while Mifflin County will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Palmyra strolled past Hershey with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. Given Palmyra's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while Hershey is ranked 606th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Addison Salus, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Keely Bowers, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Mifflin County came up short against Red Land on Friday and fell 45-38. Mifflin County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Palmyra pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Mifflin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Palmyra took their win against Mifflin County in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 48-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palmyra since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
