Rece Hoyt Dazzles in Lone Star Victory
Rece Hoyt was instrumental in extending Lone Star's winning streak to seven on Friday. Sherman had no answer to Hoyt as he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 156 yards and a touchdown while completing 86.4% of his passes.
Hoyt and Lone Star will face off against Wakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last time Hoyt took on the Wolverines, he rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Adam Schmid Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sadly, Adam Schmid posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Centennial over Reedy on Thursday. Schmid threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.
Schmid will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on McKinney North on Thursday. Schmid will face off against Hunter Kolosey on Thursday, the Bulldogs' star QB. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Vincent Hooper Has Career Rushing Day
Vincent Hooper posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards.
On the year, Hooper has averaged 63.6 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 35.57 receiving yards per game.
