After losing to the Maranatha Christian Eagles the last time they met, the Tri-City Christian Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Tri-City Christian came out on top against Maranatha Christian by a score of 64-53 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tri-City Christian.
Tri-City Christian was led to victory by Katie Busch and Talia Anthony. Busch dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Anthony scored 26 points along with seven steals. Busch is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Giselle Murray, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Tri-City Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Maranatha Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-City Christian will take on Rock Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rock Academy is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Maranatha Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Santa Fe Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Fe Christian is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
