The Cochranton Cardinals had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Union City with  points to spare on Thursday, taking the game  53-37. Cochranton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Cochranton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Shelby McBryar, who  scored 20 points. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was  Eve Pfeiffer, who  scored 15 points along with nine  rebounds.
 Cochranton's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Union City,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-4.
 Cochranton will be home for the holidays to greet  Rocky Grove at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Union City, they will head out on the road to face off against Corry at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday.
