The Tulelake Honkers lost against the Hayfork Timberjacks two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Tulelake fell 41-33 to the Timberjacks. Tulelake has struggled against the Timberjacks recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Tulelake lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being McKenna Fine, who scored ten points. Makenzie Perez was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Tulelake has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Hayfork, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tulelake will take on the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hayfork, they will head out on the road to square off against the Hornets at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Surprise Valley is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
