Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). They breezed by the Mastery Charter North - Pickett Pumas to the tune of 62-12 on Monday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-11.
Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sabrina Chen out in front who posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave Chen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Yancey, who earned ten points along with six boards and three steals.
Central has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Mastery Charter North - Pickett, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-35 win against Abraham Lincoln on the 31st. Mastery Charter North - Pickett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
